The 2013 season will feature a brand new comedy called Maid for a Musket. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Love’s Labours Lost, we’ll be taking you back to Prescott in 1813, at the time of the construction of Fort Wellington. Mixing local history with hilarious comedy and original music, this play is guaranteed to be fun for all the family. In addition to Maid for a Musket, Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy, Hamlet, will take to the mainstage. Also, during the summer audiences can enjoy the Sunday Series, a series of complementary performances including a one hour production of Macbeth, a concert of music from actor Paul Rainville, who is also a talented singer-songwriter and a comic spoof on Hamlet from Festival favourites Bain & Bernard Comedy.

This is Shakespeare that’s great for all the family – and it’s affordable too - youth aged 14 and under are admitted FREE! For more information, see www.stlawrenceshakespeare.ca
